Is Anyone Making Progress???

Even though my expertise has been exhausted, I'm still interested if anyone has made any progress since Tod's photos (which still has me wondering what I was looking at)?


Has anyone else picked up transducers and played with them?


Is everyone still alive?


Does anyone care to describe Tod's photos to me so I can learn something and not feel like I am falling down an endless abyss while my view of light is getting smaller and smaller?

I'm still alive, but not more...


The dynamic range question:


If the amplifier have good dynamic


range it could handle both large and small


signals wich improves the final result.


To have this you can add a logarithmic amplifier


or logarithmic function in the program where


you depress the large signals but not the small


ones. Or in other word, the amplifikation is signal


level dependent. Of course you loose information but


this is the same as a contrast/brightness adjustment


afterwards.
