rick: have you looked into C.A.S.T. ?

Computer Assisted Seismic Tomography may be an answer


if costs can be brought down. If chip design like


that of LLNL's Micropower can be used in a small,


easily carried C.A.S.T. system, hidden objects could


be detected as well as with GPR. I have seen several


designs on the net, but none aimed at the THing


fraternity. Maybe this forum would be a good place to


start.

no-have not looked at cast--


this seems to me to be the eqiv. of sonar but for


land----perhps for oil exploration....


is this that where a charge (explosive) is


detonated and the return sound (caused by an


interfacial change---density) are analized at


several locations in an xy coordinate system ???
