Tail Cone Mounted

The tail cone is mounted inside of the tail cone section (pipe). It was a little too long and was not a flush fit. I was going to just cut the excess of, but then decided to dremel it out making a criss-cross cut so that it fit in the wings for added support.


As I noted in an earlier post, the Delrin pipe has a desire to fold in upon itself when cut. In this case it worked to my advantage. It actually gripped the tail cone where it fits into the Delrin pipe. It only took two screws to hold it in and it is very secure. Almost feels like one piece.
