    These are quite unusual goal for the GPR. Some time ago I exchange e-mails with men interested in the same type of survey, but I gave no positive answer for these purposes. I guess (though this is a quite unusual targets) they are not the same men, i think it is a coincidence, because:

      A some time ago i sent the similar question to some GPR producers , but i received NOT positive answer! I sent this question because a customers was interested to buy a highly qualitative commercial GPR. But the customers desided and bought a expencive commercial GPR. We made many tests in this soil and understand that the producers answer was right, in this soil any GPR can not to penetrate. It is because the penetration depth depend too from clay content and type of clay in soil.
      Therefore on my page you can to read:

      " All GPR are excellent to survey in rocks and sands, good in rather dry soils without clay, and useless in soil with clay and wet soils ."

      " In practice it is very difficult or impossible to predict how deep GPR can see in soil because it is depend from soils characteristics. "

      But my next question is:
      Why Mr Reinaldo Alvarez Cabrera ( http://www.geoscanners.com http://www.geoscanners.se )
      gave me so different advice than other GPR producers ?

      I guess the next answers:

      1 - Mr Reinaldo Alvarez Cabrera have not experience in real conditions!
      2 - Mr Reinaldo Alvarez Cabrera mislead !

      I suppose 1 and 2 are true.

      Be careful when somebody "high knowledgeable" as Mr Reinaldo Alvarez Cabrera give you advice! Because you can to buy very expensive but useless device for your goal!

        Peter Annan uses a very nice radar equation for calculating very accurately the penetration depth. However, for those who cannot handle it, or doesn't count with all the required data he says "a coarse rule of thumb for penetration is:
        d = 35/sigma where d is penetration depth in meters and sigma is conductivity of the soil in milliSiemens/meter"
        From here we get:
        d = 35/15 = 2.33 meters or 7.64 feet, pretty good, Ah?
        There are many other factors influencing this figure as said somewhere else, so this might be too short or too large depending on those factors. Many times 2.33 meters is good, sometimes it is not, it all boils down to your particular application.

        The correct way to do would be to know all the parameters to be able to provide a correct answer. The target geometry and the materials relative dielectric permittivity contrast will also affect the detection ratio. None the less, the formula give a ball park estimate and the right thing to do would be to "try before you buy". Always ask for a demonstration in your place and a local phone number so you know where to call for help if something goes wrong.

        Companies in the EU have the obligation to refund the money within 14 days from receiving the equipment back if the customer is not satisfied for any given reason within the established period of time. Statements like "sell and run" are only applicable for private persons with no legal obligations. Think of it like buying stuff in the flea market. If it doesn't work then, Oops! When buying in the EU is a good practice to check with your local tax authorities that the VAT number of the company selling the equipment is a guilty one and it doesn't have any pending litigation. This service usually doesn't cost anything in most countries, but it might not be the case in your particular country, that I don't know.
        For purchases outside the EU like China for instance it is required that you present a valid certificate of quality and assurance signed and stamped in the country of origin chamber of commerce.
        I hope this is informative and can help you in your next purchase of a GPR system.

          Yes, I'm really interested on buying one but definitely it will not be from you! Judging from the way you treat Valchev, you are not a businessman but rather a con artist. Valchev had the decency to agree that his english need improvement, but with you your attitude needs lots of improvement!
          I would 've bought his GPR but I need something that can be used in road construction rather than treasure hunting.

                This ground penetrating radar (GPR) has been designed specially for treasure hunting. GPR can find subsurface heterogeneities, as a cavities, tunnels and other objects. To find Limestone in Dry Soil is with big difficulty and have not guarantee to be successful, because the wave can not to reflect.
