yes i know for 7912 pinout is : 1=ground 2=input and 3=output and for the 7812 pinout is : 1=input 2=ground and 3=output that's why i'm gonna verify tomorrow if the ground is in the middle or not it(s too late , thanks and goodnight

also, pin placement of 79xx is different than 78xx. you must remember this.

7812 is mistake. my mod was with 7909 or 7910. i put it instead diodes in negative rail.
yes, minimal dropout is 2 V, also as with two diodes.

dear Orbit , i always no that 7812 means 12 volts , what i wanna know , is this 7812 the right components for this board because the batt is 12 volts and to work , the 7812 must have at the " in " pin " more than 12 volts datsheet said input voltage from 14 to 35 volts but the batt is only 12 volts ???
Linear regulators like the LM7812 have a minimum "dropout voltage" or "headroom"- for the LM78xx family, this is about 2 volts. This means that the minimum input voltage required for the regulator to work is about 2 volts above the output voltage, so you'll need at least 14 volts into the LM7812 to get 12 volts out.
unless the diagram includes a laplace type voltage doubler which would give a suitable voltage to operate the 7812 ??? that's for this reason i need this shematic
see pic before i desold it

I will suggest that this is regulator for the main power supply this is the only modification on the board done from the reference XR71 design.
If you are not sure what the component was - It could be 7810, 7812 or even 7910, 7912. I don't think it's 7805.
I would suggest a little more caution - check where PIN1,2,3 of the regulator connect to.
One of the pins could be connect to the fuse, battery plus or battery the other pin should be connected to mosfet source (S). You need to check to see if we are talking for a positive or a negative regulator. So check the connections.

thank you for the advice , i'll change it but what about the LM 7812 ? is it the correct reg or it is LM 7805 ?

It will work however voltage will be clamped to about 110-120V which is too low for my taste for this design.
As KT315 says solder IRF740 or IRF840 (runs hotter!).

google gives me IRF540 is just on 100V. it does not have to work.
change it on IRF740.

you wrote in subject POLE. its first. second. power transistor is MOS-FET IRF840.Originally posted by AK48 View Post" i did think ak48 meant FISHER IMPULSE while now i see it is simple shiff sniff. "
it's the Mole Impulse Pro and not XR71 or anything else as you can see on the pics , thank you

Ak48 you are in luck. DELTA PULSE aka Sniffer XR71 is one of the most discussed circuits in the forum. But unfortunately if you look under your Mole impulse hood yoi will see nothing more than XR71/Delta. Its not bad its just one more clone and it uses one very popular circuit board from the past. It is one of the first xr71 boards ive came across actually.

if you see a bird and it looks like a duck. quacks like a duck. flies like a duck. then this is most likely the duck.
