Wave 5 of tracing... my G2 clone that stopped working..
When I switch it on stops before the large numerals display would light up.. the small number stays on showing "G2" and the top bar idicator strobes past once.. and then nothing changes.. it does not respond.. its not switching over to the detection software process.. and the knobs does nothing.. I just see the small G2.. with no center large numeral.. I have tested everything I can think of.. its oscilating OK, all the microcontrollers seem fine.. if might be from shock, the detector fell over once.. but I think it was from a lighting storm that zapped our home wiring.. nothing looks damaged.. hoping it is still fuxable,.. or if someone knows exactly how the startup works and what could be happening or is not happening.. no sound.. its right before the point the detector large numerals are supposed to light up with the target ID or perhaps an overload if the coil was bad but nothing..
Not expecting much but I think Geotech is a better bet than trying Shanghai..
