    where are those capacitor?!
    there are two shematic of geb version; your geb addition and kt315 geb addition. please see the below shematic and my pcb: can i use this two addition together on my project ?

    Yes, you can add both GEB mods to your project but you only need one. I could not get the proper range of adjustment with KT315s GEB mod so I added my own.

    I'm sorry if my saying "V+" or "V-" confused you. According to the schematics in this thread I should have written "+" or "-".

    Other than that, the purpose of bypass capacitors has been explained. In this system they would go from + to ground, or - to ground. The closer they are located to the various IC supply pins, the better.

    If you still have confusion, why don't you show us a diagram or image which indicates exactly where your questions are? Circle the components that you don't understand.

    edit: I attached a basic diagram of plain ordinary bypass capacitors. There is nothing special about them. Typically, two sets of parallel capacitors. If one goes bad, you have to isolate them one-by-one or else you won't find the problem.

    Look for bypass capacitors near the IC power pins (V+, V-). One end connects to ground, the other end connects to -whichever- power trace.

    You do not want to use both. Don's circuit will give you ~150degrees adjustment range. Go with that.

    Sorry for any confusion.

    U3 = CD4066 (bilateral switch)
    u5 = CD4011 (nand gate)
