Hello Dario,
There is a toggle switch at the end from the handle ?
Then check that toggle switch, if there is dirt in it than that give's problems and you have to replace it.

so it seems to be more complex then 1220b, but from repair manual for 1220b maybe I could understand how it suppose to work... ????
Detector works very erratic, like it changes its tune and settings by it self.... I guess it need some tune up!

Qiaozhi post another file with the VLF2200 manual. The VLF 2200 is very different from first post of CS220.
I attach here the schematic of the VLF1220 and i believe that the 2200 is more complex.
As you see not only 2 IC's

They are very different detectors (VLF2200Tr and the CS220).
Somewhere there is the schematic of the VLF1220 TR but i did not know how near is to 2200 schematic.

I have one old detector made by C-Scope, model VLF.TR-2200. Unit works but with erratic behavior. I'm wondering if someone have service manual or schematic diagram for this detector or any other model which is similar with this one, so I could repair it.

This is all I have. Unfortunately there's no schematic.
Please be aware that the transmitter circuit is buried in the coil housing.
This detector shows very good performance in an air test, but is totally hopeless when used in the real world.
