Surf PI 1.2 to Surf PI Pro

Hello, im new in this forum and i really like it, he is full of information but i need a confirmation of member to a modification.
So let's get started, i have made the Surf pi 1.2 from SilverDogs and he worked very great ( 2 made and 2 successful the first time !)
I can detect a gold ring at around 25 centimeter (10") but i want to make it a little more powerfull, so i searched the forum and i have see a post who say i can increase performances just by changing some component .

So, if i change this :
C5: Replaced 470nF with 220
C6: Replaced 470nF with 220
c8: replaced 100nF with 47nF
R9: replaced 1M resistor with 1M pot
R16: replaced 220K with 470K
R17: replaced 220K with 470K
R20: replaced 22k with 47K
R22: replaced 100K with 220K

I will get more performances ?
