i wanted to build myself a pair of super great detecting headphones to rat phones specs, it uses:

the company mouser that sold these lists that they're obsolete, don't know why but cant find this part anywhere only neodymium magnet type, is this because these are now cheaper to produce than cobalt/alnico?

saw some old school vintage Ukrainian planar magnetic headphones, are these any good? heard planar magnetic need amp to get full benefit in sound?
