Hi. I wrote it. o.25 mm^2 or 0.25 square mm. It will give a DC Resistance between 2.5....3 Ohm (R=r*l/s)
R = the dc resistance of the coil
    r=0.017 (resistance of coper)
l= the total lengt of the wire
s= The cross-section of the wire
    Regards

    Hi Oscar.
Make a 26cm coil with 35 turns (0.25mm^2 varnish wire) and a 10..12cm iner coil with 25 turns and the same wire. Connect them in series and it is OK.
The coil must have a DC resistance from 2.5 to 3.5 Ohm.
You may give at the inner coil any form you want. This about the coil if the tralslator to english translates OK
Now about battery.... 12...18 AA batterys NiMg in series are OK

Sorry guys, it is not calculator but only a referee to the manufacture.

    Litz Wire Calculator

    Hi all

I want to build ATiny_4 and I have no problem with getting electronic components here. For me, there are two things that I want to get more information. It is the coil and the battery which is using a lot of power, nevertheless powerful.

I've found this Litz calculator on the web which seems to me, it is flexible and handy for other coil configurations.

    Regards,

    Asghar

    Litz Wire & Coil

    Hi everybody,

As I understand, the recommended coil wire for ATiny is Litz wire: "14 x .15" with cross-section of .25 mm^2?

If I am not wrong, there are 14 strands of 0.15 mm wire in the above wire bundle. I have checked some Litz wire manufacturers product's charts but I was not able to find the specified guage as I am not fully clear about the Litz wire standard.

My question is, can someone please tell me how I can locate this wire in the market or any distributor?

    Regards,

    Oscar

ATiny-4 is good but we don't have an original parts_list for it...

    Regards!
    Hi 1843.
When i will finish the Atiny4 i will give you the partlist of my Atiny.
    Regards

The new versions of 7660 can be run at 35kHz. Is it better to use that frequency?
What about the GS4 DC/DC convertor ? (Its frequency is about 83KHz)

This forum sometimes doesn't work any good... I wrote again post cause of bad connection... then found previous right here !

    Hi,
the new version is good cause is more efficient than previous cause can run at about four times previous max freq. limit.

A good point is between 40KHz and 100KHz for that things. That way converter will provide good performances.

A bad example is bandidoII converter (running at 5KHz) that is very low efficient... that's why in some modded schematics converter is now 7660 based.

About GS4 I think it is good as is...with 555 and other stuff. There are a lot of quad op amp IC to power there.
Only drawback is about some huge noise from that converter... but there are filters on power lines.

    Best regards,
    Max

    Thanks aft_72005!

By the way, RS Compnents and Farnell in Australia have all parts for ATiny-4 but expensive.

    Hi Oscar.
I attach here the part list that i found at Pulsedetectors Forum.
I will try to build the ATiny4 from this list.
Now i am looking to order the components. I am not hurry because i paint my Lab and for 10...15 days i can't do anything

    Hi 1843.
From one side you have right, But i need a very power Detector. From PulseDetector.com site, ATiny4 is the most powerfully.
Another way is to construct Atiny4 and the Miner-2
    What do you say?

But you must consider that icl7660 is now obsolete... so not so easy to find: better if you search for some newer like TC7660HCPA by Microchip... that's the hi-freq. version.

But if you wanna be very close to schematic... you have to find ICL and other things somewhere else than mouser (they have limited stock). Try with Farnell.com or Digikey or some other european distributor like conrad.de.

    Kind regards,
    Max
