    I have bounty hunter III if you still need this info.

    I'm repairing mine, so was looking on line for a schematic. None to be found I guess, which lengthens the repair time.

    As KT315 pointed out, we really need to see a photo of the PCB (both sides).

    Thanks for the reply, but I am not an electronics person...I need info in "idiot" format..I knew the red is + and blk is -, but that's about it...was wondering if it should be connected to the battery check/normal switch or to "on-off-volume switch" or somewhere else...thanks

    RED is probably positive, BLACK negative. it is a color standart. you have to look at PCB and notice an orientation of a capacitor in power supply circuit. follow its marking.
