  • Full m/lab SD2000 schematics

Thought i would share with you all the full schematics i made up for
the M/lab SD2000.Over the years with all the fiddling on the 2000
i did and the resulting hand drawn schematics, why not do the whole
thing and present it to those that have an interest.
I would like to give a special thanks to the people that helped me
identify some of the chips, with out there input many chips would
    still be a mystery.
Drawing schematics is`nt my thing so i hope it looks ok,also i had
to present it in two parts because of the 1meg pdf limit.

to give something back after many years
of cruising pi forums looking for pi info.

Any chance of getting the 4k's circuitry?

                      Actually

                      Actually instead of the 4k,

                      please get the circuitry

                      for the 4500.

                      Oh and the software,

                      disassembled and with

                      comments.

                      Please and Thank you.

                      If you don't know about

the 4500, wait a few months

                      it will be out.

                          Coffee

                          Hi Zed,

Coffee would be fine for me.

Sireously, if we could get the

                          4500 info, we could beat

minelab with the next new detector

                          and make lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Cause everyone has to throw away

the old no good models and get the

                          new and slightly improved model.

And have it made in china..

                          out the door for $5,000.00

You cant pop models like GPX just like that. Not to mention it's patented technology and will take tons of time to modify the technology so it will go around those patents. Very nice info, thanks for posting it. I suppose later models (SD2200) has pretty much the same circuit with added MCU.

                              King of the hill

                              G`day JC1,

Yeah it would be nice to boot m/lab of and be king of the hill,
I would like to have a peek inside m/labs latest offering but i dont
own one,i have a 3000 and have modded it some, its a very nice
detector to own but i dont think there detectors have advanced
much since the gp extreme, just bells and whistles and digital.

I think what makes m/lab tuff to beat is the way they do there
sampling also there willing to push there detectors a little further
hence the em interferance plus they design there detectors in
a country with some of the worst ground in the world.

Now when i say sampling im not talking about the sd2000 i
am referring to the gp series detectors, the gp detectors
timings are a lot more complicated as apposed
to the sd2000 especially with the dual voltage that they
use on there transmit, quite innovative i think.
Also i am a little suspicious of there sensitive smooth mode on
                              the 4000,
sounds like there re-inventing channel one.

                              Cheers Zed
