On the snow ???

I think was employed mostly for anti-tank mine searching... big stuff... and even under the snow that will give a reading on a simple bfo I think.

Probably, knowing the natural inclination of russians in that years, it's some modified fisher thing...

I remember I was looking at a doc movie about airplanes and spot that once the russians get the hands on a B29 just at the end of war they made a CLONE of it... TU-4 is a clone of B29!

Yes, the Soviet copies (who no!) many weapons. When they made incursion in Poland in 1939, discover that Poland use 1 shot anti tank rifle very effective for tanks and for other vehicles and copy this. (Was not effective for the German Tiger!).

Here this detector appears as a BFO type. Fisher launch his 2 boxes maybe in 1937 or 1939... maybe is not Fisher copy.
