Any chance the component list for this VLF detector list is available outside of the book? I don't have the VLF book yet, only the PI book and am currently building a purchase order for the PI components. I was hoping to buy enough extra components to also build the VLF at a later date and save a second shipping charge. I understand if it's being kept private but wanted to ask before I pull the trigger on my component order.

I think I'm going to build this, going to buy the book, I'm seeing copies of the book on eBay for less than the amazon.com price (which I'm assuming is the official source for the book) - is it possible this book is being pirated? Hope not, but...

I had a look on the UK eBay site, and they appear to be legitimate copies.
The Voodoo Project is also available using Expanded Distribution, which means you can also buy copies in a normal (or online) bookshop.
The prices on Amazon were actually cheaper than those on eBay.

I don't see any links to the source code for this project in the book or in this thread, am I just missing it somehow, or is everyone typing in the code from the book?

Good morning, I picked up the metal detector construction book, but when I got to the parts list and the BOM file to download, I noticed that many items were missing from the actual BOM. I also found some inconsistencies between the components listed in the book and those in the file. So, to avoid mistakes, and also because the PCB manufacturing company requires the BOM for component supply, I wanted to ask if it was possible to obtain this type of file in a complete, professional, and accurate manner. If you have spotted any other parts missing or incorrect in the Component Parts List, then please elucidate so that these can be added to the Errata.

Good morning, I'll attach the corrections to the book. Would it be possible to have the complete BOM so I can attach it to the online store that will supply me with the components? It should include detailed instructions on the component model, not a generic one like TL072 without a specific model, as well as the tolerance and operating values for the components (for example, for capacitors, the accurate voltage and temperature values). If you compress the Excel file as a rar or zip, then you can upload it.

I've looked over the Excel spreadsheet as carefully as I can, and it looks like you've covered everything except the Arduino processors.
I also notice that you found a couple of other issues. J11 is a 9-pin header, and J13 is a 4-pin header. These have now been added to the Errata list.

Thanks for helping me. Yes, those were some discrepancies I found between the book and the file. I already have the Arduinos. So, with the data I found for the various components, will the metal detector work?
