There have been lots of discussions on how to add ground balance to some of the Geotech detector projects, but no-one (until now) has decided to test out some of the ideas. Actually that's not quite true, as some members have implemented solutions for their own designs, but there is no complete open-source project that's been published. The idea of a ground-balanced MPP was always on the list of future projects, but time is the limiting factor.
I see, Sorry then I must of miss understood or miss read something, as I normally do. Happy new years too all

I thought ground balancing the mini pulse wasn't possible because of the integrator used, think I was wrong.

Too busy at the moment to really get involved, but I expect this could take you some time anyway to thrash it into shape.

Also, just caught 2 errors, I missed two 100n caps, between pins 1 & 16 on both uc's so I'll correct them tomorrow.
I am also trying to learn and figure out electrical engineering software, its a lot to take in isn't it. Kicad is pretty big in the maker movement thing, being a free and open source software, seems like its a commercial compatible software from what I see and hear, I've been concentrating on Eagle, however, the educational version, limits us to a max 100mm * 80mm double sided board size .

Thats how I iron on the legend after you etch.
Thank you godigit, much appreciated.. Got it figured out now so just printed off a copy to etch a board.. size didnt turn out to bad, 1.95x3.05 ... Now just hoping it works....lol

Pick your bottom layer on the tool bar its bottom right youll see it. You can panelize it if you want to make more than one.
    Then go to file .
Go to preview right above the print command .
    Check your scale
You can also change layers on the preview screen.
    Hope that helps

Ok my bad I didnt see your 3d view I was looking a the circuit trace pattern on the gerbers you sent. I should have pulled all the layers.
Looks good to me much more organized than mine was I was just trying to get as many traces without jumpers as I could.
Figured I would make another after working out the bugs.
    Thanks again

    Thanks for doing this .
I took a quick look at it looks like you got it all. I just see one thing , on the signal input pin 5 u1 would be from B on the schem, Is that going ot a switch or pot there?
Looks like maybe just a row of input pins and or testpoints. .
Those 3 pads are, from left to right are:
In from tp7 (pin 4 u7A on primary board)
Out to C (addon transistor j113)
Out to D (addon transistor j113)

I just wanted to put them all as close together as I could to make wiring it easier. Hope thats correct. The way Im reading it, you would take your signal wire from tp7 (u7A pin4 on main mpp schematic) to pin 5 of the GB addon board which in my other mockup I labeled u8. I should have put "from tp7" instead of pin 4 maybe.

Looking at your board i found a couple extra traces on mine.
Good lock with your pcb thats one of the fun parts for me . Looking forward to your results your moving right allong with this.
    Thanks again.

Well, this is my first try at using a pcb software so it aint pretty and by no means perfect but I think I got it. This is just the 3d pcb of the circuit from Digger429 along with what he described as the changes he was making. look it over and let me know if it you find errors or if it looks good to try out. it is just made as an add on board for now.
