Hello . I have not been posting on this Forum for a while , but I saw this latest post so I had to comment . I think "Magman 116" realized the Bandido circuit was not a good choice for his designs . The Golden Sabre would be a much better choice . Then everyone on this forum would learn a Good VLF / microprocessor design that would probably have 25% more depth than the Bandido . All, I have not got two digital video cameras to shoot new video of. So I will be shooting on Saturday and will have a good video posted. Next week I will post a video of the air tests with our 14x18 DD coil.

I cannot get into our proprietary circuits but I can explain the operation. The circuits we will protect from reverse engineering.

I have been building my butt off, and need to take some extra time to post a functional block diagram and a schematic. The schematic will be of our RDII detector. We used this circuitry to build off of for our Ultimate line.

You are right. I did mis-speak. I should not have worded it that way. When I did refer to to the Bandido, it was in function only.

We did contemplate revision the Bandido schematics that were posted here due to the downfalls in the circuit. I wont call them errors, but places where the circuitry could benefit from a complete mod.

We only use coils we design and make ourselves. How can we have a calibration coil in our coil if no one makes a calibration coil or circuit.
I spent a few hours last night making a coil. I should finish it today. It takes time to properly shield, and insulate the coil. The shielding we use actually fuses with the plastic the coil housing is made from. That way we don't have to worry about the shielding developing cracks.

I will hopefully say this one last time. "I was WRONG in how I referred to the Bandido and our circuit. Ours is a completely different circuit with the same basic functionality."

I can submit mods for the Bandido circuit if people want to do the mods. Is that what people want?

I am more interested in the concepts and original circuits you have invented and your explanations of how they work. Mods of course are interesting too, especially if not too complicated. The more the better!

what i don't understand is why you refer to Bandido if your design is different and original, made by you or your team ?

That both I read as you actually made mods to the original schematic adding something... not that it's completely new stuff...and original design totally different from the existing Bandido schematic.

Am I wrong ?

What about coil ? Is an original Tesoro uMax that you use or something different ?

Eugene, I think there are some misconceptions here. I will not ever sell anyone else's design or a modification of a design. All the designs for detectors we have are very unique and not related to any other manufacture's electrical designs. We have some circuitry that has never been seen in the metal detector world and that portion will be protected by use through potting and x-ray blocking.

You can disclose anything about our company you like. I don't know where you got the idea I don't want anyone here to disclose anything about us. I was just stating I didn't want to discuss our detectors as not to offend anyone here. If people want to talk about them, I am game.

I was not intending to set out to sell these old PCBs I have from an earlier design "We" made, not any other company or coped from any other company. I was new here and saw people trying to build some older versions of the TS Bandido. I thought, mine is functionally the same but superior in operation due to the circuit design. So, I put the word out that I could supply these PCBs. I am going to post the schematics so I don't have to sell anything.

I do not want to sell our line of Ultimate Detectors here as I will have a venue for that.

As for the classroom information, I thought people might like to learn how we design our circuits. Not the detailed designs, but how things affect the signal or noise or phase. This would apply to anyone wanting to make their own detector design.

I definitely have information on detector circuit design I would love to share if it is welcome. If people started making detectors like ours, it will change the industry. Our circuitry is extremely different than what has been done in the past or present. The industry just has not caught up to where we are with out circuits.

We tried talking with the people at Kellyco many years ago; they just didn't want to here it. All they wanted to do was sell me a detector.

I know if I got frustrated with the progression of technology, others must be as well. Well, me and my partner, decided to change that and developed our own circuits to filling where the others just didn't. It is not that they couldn't do what we have done, but for some reason they have not.

And If I am correct , This Forum here was not the first to release or show some your Schematics or "partial schematics' !!! Your schematics were posted on a European " TECH FORUM" in another language , way before all the information drifted over here !!! Anyway , sometimes technical information gets released from very un-happy "Project Builders" !!!! When stuff does not work correct , or when there is a big error in a schematic Drawing and some of the Projects Had very poor Depth . It is possible that your designs are related or maybe they are not related !!!! You are more than welcome to give us more information. SO for now, I am just guessing who you are , and because I do not want to ask Personal Questions about you !!!! You have a "Personal Right of Privacy on this forum ". So , I respectfully did not mention the name of your company. And I will not mention what type of products your company sells.....Chris , I am glad you posted here today , because now I will proceed with caution on what schematics I post ,just to be safe , and maybe provide more block-diagrams.......... Eugene, my name is Chris Felton. I am located in Melbourne Florida. I have never posted any metal detector schematics on any forum or anywhere for that matter.

I can attest there are no technical errors in our schematics. We have our PCBs manufactured based on these schematics. If the schematics were wrong, so would our PCBs.

Now the schematics for the RDII are being transferred to a windows based PCB design program from the old DOS program we designed it in. We will both check over these before posting anywhere.

As for the video, I am having a heck of a time getting it edited so I can post it on You Tube. It is in Windows Media format and when I try to edit it to fit the 10 minute max length the sound gets out of time. That is why I pulled the one off there earlier.

Can any one offer and suggestions?

Chris , welcome to this forum . Before I proceed "with caution" , I made sure this quote of yours was included!!!! Let us begin , over the years , one , maybe two posts have been made trying to sell a "Metal Detector Copy" or a copy of someone else's design in "Quantity" which really went NO WHERE , and those posts were basically ignored !!!!...We do have For-Sale items , which are free postings[no-charge]to members that want to sell their new or used detectors or Equipment. And we have a Huge Technical classroom of "ELECTRONIC INFORMATION" here on this "Geotech Forum" And is used "we hope" for Private purposes only , for someone like you or me , to build a Great Metal Detector that works very good , at a reasonable price=[cost of parts+cost of PCB board]. Without a Big manufacturer mark-up. And if you notice these are the old designs, usually they are detectors that are discontinued from several years ago. And they have some design ISSUES !! So we are constantly "RE-INVENTING" the wheel here You tell us not to disclose anything about your "Private Metal Detector Company" . At the same time you are selling a product on this forum that does not belong to you !!! That does not make sense to me at all ????
