My TGSL ddn't work plzz some help

i complet my tgsl but ddnt work i dont know where the proplem

when detect bat 12v nothing happen !!!!

Start by checking the supply voltages, both from the supply and at each chip. If something is plugged backwards or there is a solder bridge you should be able to get some idea.

What I did with mine is checked everything with an ohm meter for every circuit on the board, with no IC's or transistors installed.

I then made the transmit osc and power supply part of the detector and then checked that the proper voltages were getting to all the sockets.

In both cases corrected mistakes, as I found them.

Then I plugged in the IC's and transistors and it came up and worked from the start.

I strongly suggest that you download the TGSL Complete Details and TGSL101 Documents which found here:

I printed mine out and put it in a binder. Ivconic and Don spent a lot of time going through and condensing the huge amount of information on the TGSL. There is so much information posted about the TGSL that it takes a long time to read it all. I know, because I have This saves a lot of time.

Almost all those numbers are wrong. Put the black (-) multimeter lead on ground to make your measurements.

PCB circuit ground should be the reference point for your measurements.

Before you do anything else, you should determine if the +/- power supply voltages are correct. If they are not correct, fix them.

You should have +8V on U101 (LF353) pin-8, and -5V on U101 pin-4.

Before anything else will make any sense, you need to have a working Oscillator and that means you have to have at least a coil of some kind connected to it. Does not have to be finished or even the right inductance exactly, but you need something.

I hope you have a scope or access to one because that makes this stuff so much easier but you can check to see if the oscillator is working or not by measuring the AC voltage directly across the coil inputs. You should be getting 10 VAC. Amount isnt important right now, just that it is there.

Until you can establish that the osc is working, there is no point in looking further. Because nothing is going to make any sense. It is the osc signal that drives the 4024 to generate the negative supply voltage.
