Polyester/imide coated wire- any good for coils?

1. open your old tv
2. look around CRT
3. find a coil around
4. take it easely
5. its 0,5-0,6 mm diameter wire
7. if you need more diameter take some amount N and twist wires together, N*S(1)=S where S is needed square
8. this is not cost nothing for you

Thanks for your reply KT. I have .5mm wire, and .25mm wire. Looking at winding some vlf coils, so was considering .25mm and .4mm. Sorry I'm not very good with mathematical acronyms. I understand S to be the cross-section area, but no idea what N or * are.
I was wondering if this polyester/imide coating was beneficial or detrimental for winding vlf coils, mainly.
I have a heap of .25mm. Would 2 twists of this be larger or smaller (equivalent) to .5mm?
Yes, I have several old TVs I can disassemble at a pinch for PI coils. Thank you.
