you have purchased your "Nexus" in August 2004.
In that time Gary called Georgi`s detectors the no name detector and later he called them G Hunter Pro. How it happen that you got Nexus in August 2004 when it seem that not even Georgi had one????????

The first official statement about Nexus came up in September 2005 in the Treasure Hunting magazine.

May be chasing personal agenda in this way wont get you very far, but somewhat more diplomatic approach to your problem.

I have been asked to step in and apply admin privileges to this conversation. Instead, I will explain my forum policy, and give everyone a chance to control their own destiny.

My forums do not answer to anyone, anywhere, including manufacturers. They are funded entirely by me. That way, everyone is free to discuss, and even criticize, any model or manufacturer they chose. I do require that criticisms and debates remain civil. In the 8-year life of this forum, I have had to ban only 2 people whose levels of rudeness were well beyond my level of tolerance, which is actually quite high. One was in the first 3 months. The second was in the last three months.

Richard Lincoln obviously has a gripe with Nexus, and he is free to say so. Were his gripe with Minelab, no one would be asking for my intervention, and instead, there would be a mass piling-on. I've seen it in other forums. But Georgi is a small, independent maker of custom detectors, so there is understandably more empathy for him. And I agree; I know next to nothing about Georgi and the Nexus detectors other than what I've read, but I appreciate the work he is doing. I am all for anyone who is working to get detectors beyond the current stagnation of technology, and especially the small guys.

But that doesn't change my policy in allowing open discussions. People are free to complain about their experience with Georgi/Nexus as much as Minelab. And, regarding Georgi/Nexus, I have to say that Richard's complaints have been civil and well-stated. However, this led to some uncivil exchanges between Richard and Sean, and I have pruned those particular posts.

I see four ways this can end. One is that Richard accepts where he's at, and moves on. Two, is that everyone else stops replying to Richard's complaints. Three, is that Georgi contacts Richard, and they resolve the issue. Four, is that I step in and do the ol' censorship thing. Number four is the least likely to happen.

Here you go .... heres me in a G-tec t-shirt and a minelab hat, taken about five minutes ago(ish). If you look really closely you can see that the hat has been signed by the one and only Gary Brun, the patron saint of Minelab (and a good mate)

I'v e said it before and I'll continue to say it. No. I will not show the insides. In this instance It doesn't matter how worthless tha Bulgarians word is, I gave MY word that I wouldn't show the inside to anyone and an Englishmans word is (or should be) his bond.

That probably explains why George renaged on the deal, he is a Bulgarian and therefore the above rule doesn't apply to him.

I completely apologise for the offence caused by my previous post. It was an attempt at humour which has not travelled well at all and was not meant to be insulting to all Bulgarians. The insinuation that all Bulgarians are as dishonorable as George was not meant.

I have reported the post and requested that it be removed.

You seem to be making too many implications. First Georgi is a liar, then Bulgarian and you saint. Sorry mate, but what you show on this pictures is NOT NEXUS. I have seen many Nexus versions, but nothing look like this.
Even if Georgi made this detector you can hardly relate this case to Nexus. Not to mention the possible legal issues of doing so.
In your place I would be more careful.

Yes - you have to be careful with sarcasm on this forum. There are many people here who's first language is not English, and often it doesn't translate well and gets misinterpreted. I know, because I've done it myself.

Actually I think this is a Nexus. But it looks like an early prototype to me.
