Coil Building? Where to start?

Hi Joe,

You didn't tell us what type of detector you want to build a coil for. This would help since there are some big differences.

Now, you might want to start by going to the Geotech detector page and read a few articles. There are some about detectors in general, as well as building a coil winder and a concentric coil.

Doing a search of this site for info on other coils and shielding will help also.

There is no book that I know of that covers building coils.
