no, I don't think it is a good invention. It hasn't been invented by you know who. So it can't be good.

But let's look at figure 3 in the patent:
Drawing 23, 25, 27: This is forming a TX mono loop coil with inherent inner opposing TX bucking coil.
Drawing 29: RX coil in the IB configuration.

No gain. We have better simpler designs.

Locating a target at a specific coil region isn't required. No gain.
