  • Double D Coil Resistance???

Can anyone tell me what their TX and RX coil DC resistance is on their DD coil? Please specify the coil model and what detector you are using it with. If you happen to have a decent LCR meter and have the inductance that would be appreciated too. I'm using these numbers for simulations.

    Thank you!

Plumabob, These values are quite wrong. Maybe you have an error in the measurement of coil inductances (or in writing this posting).

Wrong? How? Did you measure my coils? I assure you that these figures are correct as stated. TX is factory spec, RX is modded slightly for crisper performance. I've been using them this way for 4 years and dug lots of gold to prove it. As Pebe pointed out to me below mH is correct.

        TX 1.01 mH 1.84R

        RX .457mH 5.25R

MilliHenrys (mH) maybe. But surely not microHenrys (µH).

Ahhhh Thanks Pebe now I see it. mH is correct not uH. Musta been half asleep when I posted.

Bob, I found in the forum a measured circuit diagram of Sovereign front end. Is such circuitry inside your DD coil housing?

                Similar not quite the same.
