Coil question

I'm just an amature so maybe someone could help. I'm thinking of making a PI coil , can I use this type of wire? 22 Awg Polyurethane Resin with a polyimide nylon overcoat. (Does all taht spell out enamel coating) ? Thanks guys in advance.

if you burn the coating with a flame.if it smells like the smell you have when a dentist drills your teeth its probably enamel .but if your wire describes says it has "Polyurethane Resin with a polyimide nylon overcoat".then thats what it is

Pat,

Most PI detectors are pretty forgiving on the wire gauge and insulation. Minelab tends to be the fussiest. What you have will probably work; give it a try!
