  • Need Help Designing A Concentric Coil for 6.59khz machine

    Hello,
I would like to know if anyone can draw up a simple sketch for a 4 inch concentric coil that will work for a detector that operates at 6.59khz? Wire gaige size and length for both transmit and receive coils and how many turns for each? I am wanting a small coil that will work on the Teknetics Mark 1.. And also how hard would it be to build a 6X8 double d coil for the same machine? Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day..

The Bounty Hunter 'Gold Nugget Coil' is 4 inch, and operates at that frequency. It is cheap to buy, I would recommend obtaining one for your experiments.http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17905
