I use homemade flat Litz wire for all windings in my coils. The results are:Originally posted by Dragon44 View PostHas anyone used Litz wire for an experimental coil? If so, what were the results?
- Decreased AIR signal at induction balance (less eddy currents in wire),
- Decreased proximity effect in wire because strands are not twisted,
- Decreased stray capacitance of winding,
- Easy achievement of any desired resistance by changing the number of strands.
The diameter of one strand is between 0.15 and 0.25 mm.
