Hello all, I just picked up another detector. No, didn't need another one but got it at a price I could not refuse. Took it out and tested against my Garrett Ace 250 and it was one par with it. I got coins down to 8 inches. Amazingly I really liked this thing.
The website is igreenrex.com. if you want to see it. Very friendly company and pleasure to deal with. I think it's made by Dr. Otek but not sure about that. Anyway, ... just getting out and enjoying the hobby.

The website is not too inspiring ...."A NEW EXPEIRNCE".

ACE250's are getting a bit 'mature' now, people expect more from entry-level machines.

You should think about purchasing a more up-market detector, one that comprehensively out-performs the ACE, not one that matches it.

Last year I had an excessive amount of "silly time" and I 100% cloned this:

The device is based on two separate microprocessor systems: Rasberry PI and ESP32.
Both systems had some form of protection.
My only motivation was the challenge of cloning both systems.
After 22 days, I made it.
Now I have a complete project with all the details.
The project contains a large zip archive with all the details needed to successfully build the device.
Those interested can offer a certain figure, an amount, and can buy it from me.
I have no ambition to make a "business" out of this, but only to return the invested effort and resources.
I know all the questions that could possibly be asked here.
The instrument is semi-usable.
There are modes of operation that are completely charlatan and have no connection with reality.
But there are also a couple of work modes that are usable.
I won't give any more details. Only the one who pays will get all the details.

still using the chinese "crap" unit and finding stuff every time. I have learned through the years that you can drive yourself crazy trying to find the "very best" metal detector. I just want to have some fun and I can use any detector to do that. Oh, by the way I have a Garrett ATmax too and still using that at times too. Happy Hunting to all !
