So, that setup will work exactly the same as setup with coil and remote control.
Because Deus machine, itself, is placed whole in coil.
Each coil therefore can be considered as separate detector.
Remote control (cell phone look a like device) and remote earphones are just "remote" controls.
So as i said; you will enjoy exactly the same performances and joy of hunting either way.
Only significant difference is in fact that you can't have "expert" adjustments with earphones.

Not a problem. Because you can always visit some friend who is having remote control, make desired adjustments and transfer those to your earphones.
How to transfer? Simply; put both: earphones and remote close to each other, switch ON both and wait few seconds. All the adjustments and presets will automatically transfer from remote control to earphones and be saved in memory for good.

For a start there is nothing you should want especially to readjust there. Those 9 factory presets are quite enough for fresh start.

Of course, you can adjust basic adjustments on earphones. So "lite" Deus is nothing less than "full" Deus, actually.
Programs GMP, Fast and Gmax will most certainly be your favorites.
Later when you master it a while, most probably you will want to explore more, so than you will have to find closest friend who is having remote control. Or you can go to local shop and ask seller to help you and lend you remote control for few minutes.

I am having Deus for several months. So i can tell you that nothing especial you will miss by not having remote control.
All the most frequently used commands and adjustments are already available at earphones.
What from those i am using frequently on the filed?
Sense; usually i am changing it from 94 to 97, relating to present conditions in soil at that very moment.
GEB; manually i am adjusting it for few cyphers up or down, depends mostly on eventual sudden changes in soil conditions. But also there are often cases when soil is constant and than i am not touching it at all. Usual values (my case) are varying from 80 - 90.
And that's all. Other functions are well covered within factory presets, so if i want to change recovery speed; usually i simply switch from GMP to Fast, without touching Reactivity function at all.
If i meet conditions where items are mostly deeper in soil; than simply switch to Gmax and that's all.

So all this you can also do only with earphones! No need for remote at all.

Yet, here we have RiversRat posted one nice and very deeeep program called "Thames". So in case you want to see and test it; you will have to obtain remote control, just for few minutes, input those adjustments, save them in remote and transfer them to earphones.

Whole operation will take you just few minutes.

And now i am getting to the point when i will explain sudden idea that i got reading your latest news!

Idea is: would be indeed SPLENDID if XP implemented ability to transfer adjustments to earphones directly from PC! (using simple USB-WIFI device)

Than we could more easily exchange programs here via internet!
I really do hope that somebody from XP will visit these pages and read this.
I guess it is not a big deal now to make PC software for direct communicating with remote control and separately with earphones.
Any simple WIFI device should do.
So user can make 20-30 and more programs and keep them in to database on PC. By desire he will transfer those to remote or earphone and vice versa.
That was idea.

Next tip for you WM6;
earphones are "modular" and detachable. "Main" one, with LCD display, is the one you can detach and mount somewhere else.
So you can use coke can () and mount "main" earphone with LCD in can and than attach can on shaft.
You can easily add real speaker and small consumption audio amplifier (LM386 for example). Also small additional battery (3V will do just fine) to supply audio amplifier.
And there you go! You will have "conventional" metal detector mounted on shaft with loud and adjustable audio!
Or you can detach "main" earphone and put it as "collar" around your neck! You can add short cable from it to other earphone on your head.
This way is more convenient to constantly observe cyphers on LCD, because sometimes those cyphers are crucial in distinguishing whether to dig target or not. Deus is indeed very very accurate. With Deus i am always sure when target is Aluminum or Lead. On some fields this accuracy is saving me from indeed lot of digging and hard labor!

Yes. I have new coil (DD 23cm) already, purchased from someone surplus (eBay, he need bigger coil only).

So I need wireless phone in addition (plus some small parts, as USB charging cables and clips) for my "very Lite" configuration.

Can you explain this a little more?
If you detach main unit from earphones, speaker-earphones are no more working?
If earphones are still working, mean that there are in earphones two power sources (two batteries) and two TX and RX module (one for coil and second for earphone communication)?

Me too. Hopefully guys from XP will read this topic and consider our ideas.
More support for Deus = more brighter and longer future for it.
They should take in consideration that huge majority of possible customers will probably make same choice you did.
Therefore would be nice to add support for only earphones for Deus.
Support would be PC software which will communicate independently with earphones and exchange/transfer data.

So user should be able to input adjustments in PC software and later just transfer data to earphones.

PC can be equipped with most simplest usb-wifi.

What are the benefits of this? More people will decide first for "lite" option and later in time majority of those will collect enough money and buy remote control too.

Also files and data will be easy to share among XP users via network.

More better support = more satisfied customers = much longer and brighter future!

No. There is only one battery there. That's why i named it "Main" in previous post.
So there are "main" and "slave" earphone parts. "Main" is with LCD and battery and "slave" is just plain earphone piece.
Main is detachable. And also there are small notches (metal connections) on it.
So you can solder longer cable on those notches and estrange "main" part from the rest if you like.

Than "main" can stay as "collar" around your neck and "slave" will remain on your head on one of your ears.
So you will listen audio only from one earphone side and with your another ear than you can follow environmental noise (safer this way, in case you are "working" in risky area! )
No need me to explain much here, you will understand all the possibilities once you receive your remote earphones.

And my second suggestion is to detach "main" and incorporate it in some nice small enclosure (coke can was just funny example).

In same enclosure you can add conventional speaker and small audio amplifier. TDA7231, LM386, TBA820M etc...etc...

Such audio will demand own power supply. In case of TDA7231 and LM386 3v - 6v battery will do the job just fine (3.7v Nokia cell phone battery is perfect for such role!)

Evening i heard 30% faster in reac 4 and no loses of depth ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch also users will be able to create programs from scratch ,larger coil coming too,tracking yes i think so..............and free upgrade TOO which i think is a top marketing gesture from XP......................XP are the APPLE of detecting XPLLE.........lots of diy on deus on russian sites and on xpdeusman too but a bit dated now............

Yes, logically there must be certain trade off between faster Reactivity and depth. Expectable. Nothing to worry about.

So far they haven't made neither one wrong step! Bravo guys! Keep up like that!
Today i went outdoor with Deus, after really long time (month and a half) just to stretch my legs and relax.
Haven't enough time to visit some more serious location, so just went out a mile away from home, having no expectations at all.
Yet i discovered 25/30 musket balls, few iron pieces, various stuff... maybe 50 items overall.

I took a time today just to examine closer, in details, differences between several setups.
Made comparisons on same target.
For example; discovered target under one program, than switched to another and examined behavior, than switched to another program ... etc...etc
After several checks and tests at the end i dug item to finally see what it is.
So that's how i spent this afternoon.
Thames is deepest, Fast is most accurate yet a bit shallower, Gmax is deep enough but bit slower, GMP is best trade off between all others.
All depends. Depends on present soil conditions.
Also previous knowledge and experiences with that particular soil will decide about program to use.
So there is no universal solution, each program is most suitable for given conditions.
That's why is smart to master them all and later know what to expect.
Most certainly Thames, as deepest so far, is my favorite.
Usually i am starting searching with it, than once target is detected, i can decide to dig, or if i am not sure i can switch to GMP, Fast or Gmax to closely check and examine signal and than decide to dig it or forget it and move on.
In next few days i am planing a bit more serious "expedition".

On thames if you put react at 2 or 3 you getting deeper also a twist on the expert audio from 4 to 3 should get you some extra mm.
I m just loving this machine i may get myself another remote......................sounds silly but i saw one for 350 british pounds 2 months ago.......................used once
