I built the surface mount version.Originally posted by jladre View PostHello guys! Does anyone using this? Does it can do the job on calibrating diy pi like barracuda, surf pi and other simple pi?
Works fine with is single channel limit on a VLF. Works perfect for nulling a coil.
Would be very easy to kill it working on a pulse though. Did set the offset on a Barracuda build with it though.
On screen frequency and voltage measurements were spot on with my build when compared with a real oscilloscope.
Great for testing sensors on vehicle
Mine sometimes gets in a knot and I have to switch on with some buttons down and it resets itself.
Not perfect. But useful, fun to build, takes up no space and portable as it runs of a battery

I have the DSO 138 and Shell 150 to use for the quick look see stuff. I broke down and purchased a Hantek 6022BL for most other stuff. If you shop around you can get one for like $65.00. http://www.hantek.com/en/ProductDetail_2_153.html

Add another +- 50$ to your 300$ and you will be able to buy a really good budget scope the Rigol DS1054Z. I personally have the older brother Rigol DS1052E.Originally posted by ionut_mtb View PostDid you bought the scope? Soon i will sell my analog scope, because is too big and i'm always on the move, and i will buy a digital one, only for detectors. Anyone can give me advice to choose? Buget 200-300€

I don't know what to say about cheap dso stuff... regarding rigol, the problem is that ds1054z is available in the US for aprox 350$ and shipping to europe other 40$. Here in sweden customs will take 25% of product+shipping (imagine that), so i need to pay another 80$... only solution i see in netherlands for rigol ds1072u with freeshipping for 265Gbp. Other scops are hantek usb or full digital, but...
