WM6, well done for remaining relatively calm, more than I could have managed, with this tagged on the end;
"viel erfolg mit Ihrem wunderbaren Geschaeft. Mfg"
I will have a look through an archive site containing UK and American electronic magazines. The UK ones would often copy/use articles from other magazines.

this guy bought all boards from me. interesting story he told.
Sir,
I just received your email address through the eBay messaging system. Normally, eBay does not allow buyers and sellers to exchange email addresses. How did you do it?
You were kind enough to offer me the Gerber files of the LC board which I purchased three of from you.
I recently obtained a number of very accurate (PET) non-inductive capacitors which were all measured very carefully at better than 0.002% (@ 23?C) at a lab with traceability back to NIST.
All of these "standard" capacitors are nominally in the 2.2 uf range.
At my bench I have the ability to measure RF Frequencies very accurately down to fractions of a Hz with a GPS based master oscillator and my collection of old HP counters, generators, and spectrum analyzers.
I'm hoping to use your LC circuit, mounted in a temperature controlled box, with very rigid mountings, and very rigid test terminals, to create a series of "secondary" test inductors over a range of rigid, open "Air Dux" coil stock, and use those stable inductors to expand my range of of calibrated (PET) non-inductive capacitors.
These test capacitors and inductors, in a stable temperature environment, with your LC Oscillator board, should allow me to determine component values more accurately than my DE-5000 LCR meter to at least another decimal place.
As I suspect that this will be a long term project, and I will rebuild my test fixture more than once, it will be nice to have extra PC boards so I don't have to take apart the older test fixtures.
It will be nice to have the Gerber files so I could simply order more boards as I develop this project and make modifications in the input circuit to minimize the errors in my homemade component test fixtures.
Thank you again for your kindness.
Mike

now SOS-HELP from mine side. can anybody with clear German ask this German guy to attach a pic with the page in PM?
PM in ebay is allowed to attach pictures, but not links. links are banned.
main difficulty this guy is not so active, we know that those nordic folks sometimes are too 'frozen, slow-witted' on a reaction be cause they are living
under 'the cold Sun', northern Sun.
so still no reply from him. thank you guys.

If whole year 1978 volume is 20 euro, then August issue only should be about 1 euro + shipping.
Does they sell single (august #18 ) copy too, or whole 1978 volume only?

It was Deutsche Zeitschrift not American one.Originally posted by kt315 View Post
i believe if in russian magazine this is reprint from it then original article was in american one.
.
Funkschau (FRG), 1978, 18
(FRG = Federal Republic Germany)
There are different magazine archives in Germany.
You can contact them and ask for copy of 1978 Funkschau article named:
"LC-Oszillator fuer beliebige LC-Verhaeltnisse" 78/18/898
Par example here:

can anybody share this magazine Funkschau 1978 N18? i believe if in russian magazine this is reprint from it then
original article was in american one. ie the source is american magazine be cause those BC... BF transistor types
and 1N4148 diodes sure say that the schematic was taken from western side or as we say US is 'new Atlantis'.

BH coil, example of calculation. frequency 6.6kHz.
L=2422.932 uHYes, there is an internal capacitor. The TX inductance is 2.4 mH, and there is a parallel pair of ( 220 nF + 22 nF or 20 nF ) = 240 nF across it. I'm not sure of the capacitor type, the 22 nF was a common polyester type, the 'dipped mylar' that are usually green colour. The 220n may also be polyester, but polypropylene may be a possibility, for temperature stability?
RX inductance is also 2.4 mH, with no added C,R,etc. RX resistance is quite low, 2 Ohms.
