    if you do not know is there a cap inside a coil or not connect a cap with 1% accuracy. russian uses 10nF, like a standart. i use 5% accuracy, do not have less.
    i had gave the pics. look this pic on right side a value "C=10N" - is 10nF
    and he gives values of resonanse he measured for rx and tx.

    thanks. yes, clear sine wave on LC. there is not problem with the generation on LC, but maybe 'preamp' on V3 works unright.
    did not have much time for experiments. only measured whites coil and it was first issue for demonstrate you a result.

    connected BULLSEYE coil, TX. White's 6.59kHz. baddd. no generation ((( http://ipic.su/img/img7/fs/CIMG6332.1530295017.jpg
    then looked on LC... signal is... but of hight freguency. seems there is an autoexcitation.
    changed R10 on 22Ohm.

    I think with higher cap(10-47nf), result will be more precise, depending on inductance of the coil being measured. The margin of difference increases with increasing of frequency.
    Higher resonance frequencies being more susceptible to tiny variances in capacitance of circuit.
