Hello ROV ,
the best lcr i have for the price and very very accurate is:
http://aade.com/lcmeter.htm
I have it for years and it is a very good LCR , i bougth it in Kit form
and at first probe it work , i check it with very accurate industrial coils and it gave me a very near lecture ...
Regards.

Is the L.C.R.meter from Ian C Purdie(amateur Radio Fame ,VK2TIP) still available ??
the design by Neil Heckt of Almost all Digital Electronics.
This is very use-full for inductance/capacitance measurement with a micro! maybe for Coil design use?

Build your own Test Equipment !!!
Hello BBSailor , Thank-You for posting . I checked the website link you posted and they are still in business and a lot of goodies at a reasonable price !! Good to see you again , and you also have a "Great New Year 2009" !!!...................Regards........Eugene52Originally posted by bbsailor View PostEugene
Check out this link for a report on how this LC meter works. There is a link in that report that will take you to the web site where the comple schematic and assembly instructions are located. This meter measures 150 mH maximum. It uses high frequency to measure small inductances: 60KHz up to 10 mH and 20KHz up to 150 mH.

Almost all circuits I have seen , use a PIC-Chip or similar controller. Anyone have a good LCR circuit schematic hidden somewhere ???................Regards..............Eugene
