i have a 709 0pamp 14 pin can i cut it ?

i have just one 709 0pamp 14 pin left.could i cut the nc's pins off with out damaging it? i 'm gonna try it on a surfmaster board.

thanks for offer Mark but everything worked out ok.6 blades later .i dont' know what they put in that plastic .it's a big improvement on the 741 i had in there.thanks people

or you could just bend off the un-used legs , place in socket over hanging each side if you have the physical room for it , only an idea , saves the risk of cutting.
