  • Joker X1 Resistivity (Turkish DIY Project) — Technical and Field Review

    Hello Geotech members,

I am considering building the Turkish Joker X1 Resistivity device and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has built or tested it. I am particularly interested in an independent assessment of its electronics, measurement accuracy, firmware, and overall engineering quality. Are there any known design flaws, technical limitations, or recommended improvements?

Most importantly, how does it perform under real field conditions? Has anyone verified its detection capabilities for cavities, groundwater, metal objects, or other subsurface targets through controlled tests or confirmed field results? Would adding active analog filtering or modifying the current-injection circuit (e.g., using higher voltage or AC/polarity-reversal excitation) offer meaningful improvements? Any honest technical feedback, practical experience, or advice on potential weaknesses would be greatly appreciated before I proceed with PCB fabrication.

    Thank you for your time
