We provide the PC program to make the post-processing of the captured grid data and make all the necessary 2D colored plots.

Thanks for your infos..Originally posted by Willy Bayot View PostHi all,
We are still living and producing and shipping our latest PPM version MarkVIII.This post is just to advertise the fact that we now have a new web site 'www.precisemag.com'.
Everything which was on the old web site are also here and better presented but there are a lot more info including the price structure.
My email address has also changed, it is now [email protected]

let me to explain some thing to you , I'm locate in Egypt work as archaeologist , Want to use PPM to detect tomb and here tomb build from 4 kinds mud bricks, Granite , Basalt and limestone .Some times contain Granite , Basalt pieces for god they believe on. Depth start from 2.5 Meters To 7 Meters . Really I like your PPM ,want to get one , I want to know what do you think about depth chance and cavity detecting include hot rock pieces on tomb sorry for talking much and hank you for your time

Those materials are indeed more easily detectable because of their higher magnetic content but, 6 m deep is a long distance of detection

so this type of stone should detect
Igneous and Metamorphic Rocks
Granite
Basalt
Slate
Marble
Quartzite

what maximum depth chance to detect walls from normal bricks and stone , can i use data for survey in Snuffler

It could detect walls 6 meters deep IF THEY WOULD BE MADE OF MAGNETIC MATERIAL.
Otherwise, if they are made of normal bricks or stones, no chance for ANY type of instrument.

Can it detect wall with depth 6 meters, can export it data to snuffler

This is simply the variations of the magnetic field gradient. Positive and negative peaks of that plot indicate potential targets. These peaks are also emphasized by an aural feed-back with the frequency of the sound proportional to the absolute value of the peaks.
The left most digital value is also the gradient expressed in nT. Red i snegative, green is positive.
Red background on that value means bad readings.
The two left most black figures are the scale expressed in nT. The scale of the plot can be modified in real-time from the keyboard.
The other figures give some evaluiation of the signal quality, magnitude, stddev and the voltage of the battery as well as the HDOP o fthe GPS.
We have volontarily simplified the screen because, during a survey session, there is no time not wish to look at details. The detailed study of the session results and their 2D color plotting are made with the PPM Utility program.

Great achievement Willy, congratulations.
How we can explain diagram from your second display photos, what it say to us?

The main improvements of this version over the previous MarkIV version are the sun-readable color GUI display and the Bluetooth connection to the PC-based control program.
This program can run on a small 8" tablet under Win 8.1 and thus, the PPM box carried in a backsack with the operator having only the tablet in his hands.
This program has also a lot of new features, they are described in details on the new web site.
As always, the same PPM control box can be used for underground surveys AND for underwater surveys, the only difference being the sensor container.
This is two pictures of the new control box and its display during a survey session.

Hi all,
During the last few months, our new developments have mainly targeted the 'PPM Utility' PC-based program.
We have published a summary of its main functions in the attached document and also on our web site : http://users.skynet.be/fa352591/index.htm
