I have built a GS5-lite that I want to use in the water (beach). As getting IP67 potentiometers is not very easy and there is always a risk of getting water inside, I was thinking about making some kind of digital actuator (digipot) in place of the actual analog potentiometers controlled by an MCU (Arduino) + Bluetooth and a Cell phone (a mobile app).
Do you think this can work or will be something that will introduce unwanted noise in the detector or will be difficult to precisely control?
My plan actually is to not change anything in the original schematic, but just replacing the pots with something digital.
Thanks.
