Only if you use 18v battery and an OpAmp to make the common voltage (+-9V). For my opinion let it as it is.

Thanks Geo, can`t get right potentiometer with switch with 1M value the one I have is only 50K, and to make up the 1M with resistors in series(950k) would limit gain adjustment,on one side will be at almost maximum gain all the time. Unfortunately with this one, need the full range of the 1M pot.

Have nearly finished detector, changing potentiometer with switch to standard potentiometer, and separate switch for on/off. And changing battery to single battery supply what to do to fix? as no B1 & B2, just B1?
