I dont know how many are familiar with the excellent XP headphones but here goes. In their latest models they have hardwired the transmitter on their boards from factory but on the earlier models you need to attach the transmitter to the board for the headphones to work and that module can be bought from any dealer.
Now, these headphone are first class. No lagg and no sound detoriation as far as I have compared to other very good detector specific ones. And they have 50 hours use between charges and great quality..
You can view them at http://www.xpmetaldetectors.com/uk/portail1.html
Is there a way to attach that transmitter to a Whites board? or any detector at all not from XP
Have anyone tried it.
I cant rest this idea before i know it cant be done and ofcourse it can be...

also, I find I tend to get "thick ear" syndrome with the XP phones, they sit ON the ear rather than around it thus providing poor external sound insulation unlike headphones made using ear defenders.
(though it's USUALLY the Wife telling me to get back home)
