  • frequences,400,metal detector???

hello to everyone, friends of the forum. someone even understood in the scheme (metal detector, PI) to give me the following advice: I have a model detector, which has ,2-frequencies: 600 Hz and 1200 Hz., has a switch on the front, which I can only have one or another frequency (2-positions)
out another model, same manufacturer, which has (multi-frequencias. .. 400 freq., of: 550 Hz, 950 Hz., and has a potentiometer to regulate these 400 freq. I asked, and sorry for my Ingenuino! is possible, I also applied 1-potentiometer in place of the panel, instead of (SWITCH) and connect the same 5-wire connecting ma plate, and so, stick with 600 frequencies, instead of the two, 600e 1200Hz? ?? without changing any components on the board?
might eventually change, with a potentiometer, especially, have, too: From: 550Hz, 950 Hz? thanks for the possible, help

No way to replace a switch with a potentiometer and get the variable frequencies.

It depend of way of generating frequencies/pulse. We need to see schematic first. If switch choose between two resistors, then maybe it is possible without major surgery.

In any case, the intermediate frequencies between 600 and 1200 Hz will not be much of help to improve the existing characteristics of the detector. Certain differences would be in the switch, for example to 200 or 3000 Hz, but this should be tailored to the overall construction.
