AHMERIXIS MD - Making my Own Design Detector

Hello everyone,

I am making my own design MD (a kind of research about metal detectors). I have called/named this project AHMERIXIS MD.

I made the coil and the parameters are these:
25 cm, 25 turns, 0.5mm wire -> 506 uH, 2.0 Ohms

I have use a breadboard to test the driver circuit (timer + power). I used a function generator to created a pulse at 120Hz (1.2% duty) ~100uS (signal positive 10V pulse width)

Basically I would like to have a first step/part like the Delta Pulse (IRF740 + LF357/TL071).

I am opening a new tread as this is not exactly non of the current projects already opened. I will appreciate all your help on this project as I don't know too much about MDs.

certainly you can reopen America for us but... i believe your PI will be with color display and full disc on ARDUINO kit based.
and you will give full code for people shared, not HEX with limited number of turn-ons like someones do.

I agree with WM6, Apprehelpix would be a much better name!

The funny thing is the name of your MD in Greek means "oh you'll drop me".

I believe the point of naming a product is to distinguish it from others but at the same time it must be easy to pronounce and remember.
Also, the Goddesses' name is Amerissis without an H. From there on, it is your design and you can name it whatever you want but I personally think it is a very weird name to pronounce and hard to remember up to a point that's a turn-off of interest (for me personally).

Could you at least give some details of your project?

Disregard the Linux question (I lack sleep ), give us at least some details about the project, what makes it different than other projects and generally any hint would be helpful, oscillographs don't say much.

Just want to use some power driver part... like the one from Delta Pulse + first op and take that as input to a PIC I can manage only with software.

But would like to have something stable/good in the first module.

I loaded the oscillographs and the coil parameters to start looking for a good reference after feed the signal in the PIC (Arduino Nano or Mega2560, which I already have).

MDFanatic - go to bed and return with a clear mind, we need people "alive" to help others hahaha.

BTW, I won't change the name... I like Ahmerixis MD :-)

Today's experiments

Today I will start testing what is possible with the Arduino platform/framework. I already have some Nanos and Megas to test.

I would like to know what is the best way to sample a signal similar to the one in the first amplifier output...

Let's see... I will share my results :-)

I have bought a couple of devices to start this hobby, also a multimeter (VC97A) and a DC power supply (30V 5A) :-)

Nice equipped lab to start with MD (you should show VC97A, that is somewhere in background, and PS too).

Wish you full success with "Ahmerixis MD". I didn't know that your retail department support this trade mark.
