I respect whisky, I respect vodka, but I always give preference to homemade Serbian plum brandy!
By the way, I haven't tasted an alcoholic drink in a couple of years, and in the last 20 years I haven't drunk a total of 30 beers and 10 glasses of brandy.
There comes a time in life when one gets fed up with everything. But never enough humor!
      Why is that so?
It seems to me that the reason is too much stress in today's world and lifestyle.
Alcohol will not really help here, it will only mask the problems.
Who understands the detector as a means to get money; he is on the wrong path.
First of all, the detector should be a "medicine" against stress and a good substitute for alcohol and drugs.
Take any detector and go far into the wilderness and untouched nature.
And you're already halfway to recovery.

I was just going off the video about the foil ... but as I previously said the unmodified GPZ is a really really sensitive metal detector.
Dont think you would want to make it any more sensitive even if it was possible and any mods are not going to help you walk over more gold.
The GPZ is somewhat sensitive to hot rocks and conductive soils even after good ground balancing but its perfectly useable.
If the sensistivity was increased by 33% this level of sensitivity would make it unuseable.

if people are advertising mods ... its always buyer beware .. esp if no money back guarantee is offered.
I have two of these detectors and I would never modify them as they are way above any sensitivity you would require in the field. ( and thats why I find so much trash LOL ).

HOWEVER .. .the trash I do find ( bullets, ring pulls, cans, bolts u-name it ) ... has not been dug before at the depths I find it .. even on heavily detected sites.
So I know from this that the GPZ exceeds other detectors in sensitivity ... and yes occasionally that trash signal is a gold one on thrashed sites.

A mod I would consider for the GPZ is discrimination ... but I would prob still dig every target anyway.

Hey Ivica here is your sentiment written as a song !

          Verse 1:
I respect the whisky, I respect the vodka,
But when it comes down, I’ll choose plum brandy from the heart of Serbia.
Haven’t touched a drop in a couple years,
Twenty gone by, just thirty beers and ten glasses of cheers.

          Pre-Chorus:
Life gets heavy, yeah, it wears you thin,
But there’s one thing that I’ll never lose within—
Humor, it’s always there, keeping me alive,
In a world that’s rushing, we’ve got to survive.

          Chorus:
Why do we chase the bottle, when it’s the stress we’re hiding?
You can mask the pain, but you’ll never stop it from dividing.
A detector, my friend, it’s more than a tool,
It’s the cure for a life that’s been abused.
Take it far away, into the wild, let it set you free,
And you’ll find the peace that you’re searching for, you’ll see.

          Verse 2:
Too much noise, too much race,
We’re all trying to keep up, but it’s a losing chase.
Alcohol won’t heal the soul, it’ll only disguise,
What you’ve been running from deep inside your eyes.

          Pre-Chorus:
Take a step back, breathe and feel the air,
Out in nature, you’ll find your care.
No more numbing, no more chasing the high,
It’s time to let go, time to find your sky.

          Bridge:
It’s not the drink, it’s not the pill,
It’s the time you take to stand still.
Find the wilderness, let your heart unwind,
Leave the stress and the chaos behind.

          Outro:
Yeah, you’ll find the peace that you’re searching for,
In the wilderness, where your soul can soar.

            Great!
And there is great truth in those verses!

Dear and respected Mr. Ozzy Shakespeare; here's a new poetry theme for you!
(There is no bigger self-destructive fool than me!)
                ...
I was thinking something... the "profound" kind!
Cigarettes...besides the "million" bad things they do to your health; they also affect blood clotting and the formation of thrombosis, right?
And alcohol does the opposite; it dilutes and thins the blood, doesn't it?
My main problem is that I don't use alcohol!
I'll have to start drinking alcoholic beverages heavily and thus neutralize the bad effect of smoking!
                That's a winning combination!

If anyone is wondering what all this has to do with the topic...?
Well... about... as relevant as trying to "mod" GPZ and make it better!
                  ...

                  A colleague from China with whom I worked until a few months ago, otherwise a future author of a book on magnetometry (probably a future Nobel laureate, lol);
wrote in one of our first correspondences that he had successfully cloned the GPZ7000 but that in the end he gave up the whole job because he encountered an insurmountable problem, some "special ID chip" in the coils, which is impossible to clone...
                  Oh God!
How many funny people there are on this planet!

Gee... does that "mod" at least help anything?
I also found this by chance:

Why does it cost up to $3500 to upgrade and modify a GPZ-7000

I'm pretty shallow, I'm just now trying to get into the topic and figure out what it's all about.
Did I understand correctly; covering individual parts on the detector with foil costs $3500!
Ok, look... I support that knowledge has value and costs and should be charged for... but if I understand correctly; then that's crazy too much!
Not even Elon Musk would charge that much! Not even Bill Gates!
And it's hard for me to believe that there aren't capable engineers in ML who wouldn't have thought of it!
