Hi. I'm working on discrimination in delta pulse, but not on a pic, but on modern dual-core microcontrollers. However, this is more of an approximate selection rather than true discrimination. At least, this is what I have achieved so far.

Quick update — demo video of my discriminating Delta Pulse build, shown side-by-side with the older non-discriminating versions: https://youtu.be/MkoDgOverZo
I'm based in Belarus, where WWII relic hunting is one of the popular directions in the local hobby — so this unit was mainly built for large-target searching with a 1.3x1.3 m frame coil, though a regular mono coil also works.
The new unit adds real-time target discrimination (ferrous vs non-ferrous), color display, multi-tone audio, and a live-adjustable threshold in the engineering menu.
In the video I test it on various targets — aluminum, copper, brass, an old silver coin, a tin can, pliers, a nail, etc. — and show clean separation between ferrous and non-ferrous in most cases.
