  • Testing the New GPZ 8000 with all 3 coils v the GPX 5000 V the GPX 6000.

Hello members. A big Hi from Australia.

A very good friend of mine has asked me to upload this test sheet results. They are details of a comparison test that he has recently carried out.

After waiting for the other 8000 M/Lab coils to surface. This is an eye-opener for me and should give everyone a fair comparison.

Both of the difference of detector models and also Coil sizes. Depths are in inches.

    Cheers from ozgold. (J C.) z GPZ 8000 versus 5000.docx

Hello Pito. Yes, you read that right, a 5c coil at 21" inches in ground. Regards ozgold.

I can't believe it, the dimensions are too unrealistic. Show us a photo with the hole, a ruler, and a sample of the coin, and I'll buy the detector right away!!!

Alexismex, you better believe it, things change all the time. If you want the latest, you have to keep up with it all. You can't live in the past.

I've seen many things you would not believe, and they are for the good of everyone.

            Cheers Oz gold.

Its a 15 inch coil ... for a 5 cent coin its inside the 1.5 diameter detection range for this class of detector with small targets. I get just over 50 cm ( 20 inches ) for a 5 cent coin.
The difference is my gear is 20,000 AUD less than the minelab version.
It wont work in the iron cluttered fields of europe though.

                    Hello PITO.

The Mate spent 6.5 hours getting these results. It's winter here and far too cold to stay outside. I think he did a damn good job as it is.

Far beyond making a Video of the procedure.

... good data John thanks for posting it.
There are plenty of youtube videos out there demonstrating the capability of the 8k .. it sets a good benchmark to aspire to.
