looking for gold tester circuit!

For solid jewellery without gems working out its specific weight using scales that have an accuracy of .01 of a gram will normally tell you what carat gold you have.

Jewellers normally do the acid test so doubt the £6 bay ones work to well.

Measuring is resistance proves nothing as it will not take into Account any alloy or plating.

So you mean testing gold by electronic device is not an accurate method and you prefer acid test?

Correct, it is not accurate, alloys have too much electrical variation.
