Yes, there is an internal capacitor. The TX inductance is 2.4 mH, and there is a parallel pair of ( 220 nF + 22 nF or 20 nF ) = 240 nF across it. I'm not sure of the capacitor type, the 22 nF was a common polyester type, the 'dipped mylar' that are usually green colour. The 220n may also be polyester, but polypropylene may be a possibility, for temperature stability?
RX inductance is also 2.4 mH, with no added C,R,etc. RX resistance is quite low, 2 Ohms.
I will look for the details later. I did download the schematic. It's reverse-engineered, so it has a few errors.

The Fisher F2 schematic is on the forum somewhere. That uses the 6.6 kHz BH coils, but adds an extra 47 nF of capacitance across the coil ( which has 240 nF internally ) dropping the operating freq down to 6.0 kHz.

I don't do that, i love them ALL!
I just ask for the schematic of any BH model younger than 30-40 years.
I have here brand new 10" concentric coil.
It has specs that don't suit my present design.
So i wanted to see original circuit and (if possible) to adapt my frontends to suit the coil.
All the BH schematics that i have (few) are dating from 30-40 years back... no use from them.

i know lots of US detectorists swear by BH gear, its such a shame that in europe they have a cheapo "1st detector" image, i think that is a british and european failing we confuse cheapness with value for money sometimes.
whenever i have used BH detectors i have been impressed, and the only problems with them are other peoples perceptions of them, and actually finding a UK supplier that stocks the whole range.

I think you should add the Bounty Hunter Junior to your list. It is also sold by other names, including the BH Handyman, and is also branded Discovery, I think.

If no schematic; clear straight macro photo of all both pcb sides will help a lot too.
