I'm interested in models with a demodulator made with a transformer. I read somewhere that they are better, i.e. quieter. I want to experiment with them.

Who remembers Fieldmaster detectors?
This was from the back page of Treasure Hunting magazine in 1978. I remember at the time wishfully thinking which one should I buy?
It didn't really matter because at the age of only 14, even the cheapest one was well out of my reach!
