    @ Biogas,

the LCD has a backlight function at pin 19 and 20, which is controlled by the PIC18F452. So when you push the main switch on, after initalize the backlight turns on.
I power the MD with an external power supply (12V and 7,2 Ah). It is your choice how to assemble it.
If you want to have a water-drop-splash-proof MD, the box, the 5 control buttons, connector(s) have to have these specs, too. Even the common LCDs do not fulfill this condition.
The level of protection you mentioned is about IP64 so i would search for this in the technical informations.

I built my coil like this:

wire: 3meters of CAT5e (standard ethernet)
turns: 3 (diameter about 31,8 cm)
    inductance: 473uH
    resistance: 3.6 Ohm

Generally resistance should be in 3-4 Ohm range and inductance 400-500 uH ( i also read 400-600 uH).
The PDF docs in the author´s forum were good enough to etch the PCB and see clearly all components, at least for me.

    LCD

Ok, thank you! (Vielen Dank! )
    It has light on/off function?

    Battery

Wich battery need this detector? 12V? For example 2500 mAh 10 x 1,2V AA battery in pack? Or?

    Switch
I would like build a" water/drop/splash" proof detector. Witch switch are the ideal for it?
I think it's don't the best for it!!??!!

    Coil
I would like build about a D40 coil, and a 1x1 frame coil. Which properties have they coils (wire D, numbers of turns, industance, resistance, etc)?

    Schematic
I don't find a high-resolution picture about PCB and schamtics. Have anyone?

    Many THX!

take care, that the controller of the GLCD is KS0108. There are other controllers on some GLCDs that dont work with programmed pic. I bought one at ebay as mini 12864, which has this controller and its size is only 54x50mm so that it fits in several boxes. the other "standard" displays i would have to mount on the top of my box, what i didnt want, hehe. Mentioned GLCD costs 13 Euros incl. shipping.
    Hi!

Where can I that buy it? Please post it the netstore!

    Thx
