They still charge 70-100$ for setup and then it's not bad 33$ each if order 1-2
And 11$ if order 10
I probably don't need all 10 Can buy maybe 2-3
Maybe we could do like a group order with someone else from Melbourne or Victoria who is keen

Generaly i am not planing to sell PCB-s i try to make 2 or 3 PCB-s at my local supilers.
PCB would cost me abouth 20e for 1 pcs.
Those China websites (companies) is good for masive producing, for little series try fo find some local supiler.

So 10 PCBs would be 30$ each

One more thing, it's almost impossible to make DIY PCB ( with no error!) 2 layers, thru hole vias, 0.3mm traces, etc etc. Strongly recomand prefabricated PCB. Maby Silverdog can help here :P
With couple mods SD2000 can folov (and overtake) a lot of new Minelab models for surely.

600 to 700ma is about what you can expect for current consumption on a 2000,the large TX will switch off at about 3.5 amps and the small TX at 1 amp.This will be while using a 0.4 ohm coil with 300uh inductance at 6 volts.

I found some ultracell rechargeable battery 6V 7Ah, and with my calculations it will be enough to suply SD2000 for abouth 8.1 hours.
For me it is enough.
Battery is weight abouth 1.1Kg not too much.

600ma is ok, we can use a electric golf club carrier with mod to fit tracks like a tank for plough and pasture land which will have enough power to transport a lorry battery

Finderskeepers haved 600mA, maby his pulsewidth was too long don't know.
Personaly i think it is much less than 600mA!

Yep i also hate a lot of current consumption, only heavy high capacitance battery help :P
I hope that SD2000 V1.2 will have les current consumption(as much as i can achieve).

Regarding power consumption of course (complex are both enough).

600mA of consumption is something that I don't like.

I will try to include as many mods as i can,
A lot of mods are shown here bu Woody and Ismael,
I will pay a lot of attention when choosing TX fet's, i think that BUK-455 is not best choice,
also for FRD BYV28-200 is not eaven a close
For SD2000 rev 1.2 i will try as i say to to get some MCU in circut, just to control timings and ground balance and that will be the best mod
It will be nice to connect all of that with some grafic LCD (probably nokia 3310 LCD)
But that all will be in future, now i am just making this basic SD2000 (with couple mods).
