  • US Gov liquidation auction - TOWFISH

I ran accross this U.S. Department of Defense for the Sale of Military Surplus (looks like Navy) auction for a TOWFISH, 64" LONG, 4. 5" DIA. Gov paid $400 for it, it looks new but received a F7 in condition.
Maybe if someone knows of it's make or manufacture, we could look it up. Click on the photo to go to the auction. Looks neat!

I don't see any rear fins, but they might be in the box.
Remember before you bid, you need a End of Use Certificate that is Required!

      End of Use Certificate

The End of Use Certificate that you need is to be filled out and faxed
to them. It means that you have to tell them what you plan to use this for
and if you plan on selling it.
No auction lot will be sold to any foreign country
      or any foreign national.
This is their way of tracking certain equipment that
could be used against us in a harmful manor.
Some I can't seem to see how, but they do require it for some auctions.
You have to register and login to download
      an EUC.

        End Use Certificate

I have tried to get this EUC thru the process and I finally gave up. It is a typical government paperwork shuffle. Be sure you keep copies of it because they are not available online once you submit it. If there are any problems, they say "block 7 and block 13 need revision", which does you no good if you don't have a copy. After several phone calls and iterations... I said "keep the stuff, this is way too hard!" I vowed to never bid on anything that requires a EUC. My experience may be an isolated one. Any comments?
