    Info on A Sidescan?

what are you going to use it for?
for low end stuff like scuba diving or fishing take a look at
Humminbirds 987C Si sidescan at less than 2,000 yes thats 2k
it dies a really good job down to about 100feet and less so to about 150
at least on the 455Khz I have yet to really look at the 200Khz setting but I know I can get returns at near 200 feet deep.

it you want to see some of it's screen captures here is my site

        Hi Brad,

Apologoes but I have piggybacked onto this discussion. I too am in the hunt for my first sidescan. I know nothing about them and need some sound advice. I am an avid wreck diver and need the sidescan to look for stuff that I have been researching. Depth ranges up to 130meters. Preferably would like somthing that plugs into a laptop but wont break the bank. Being in New Zealand the NZ dollar doesnt go that far!!!!

This has probably been done to death but would appreciate any info.

        many thanks
